Is there an age requirement to rent an electric bicycle?
Riders must be at least 16 years of age. Renters must be at least 18 years of age with a major credit card and photo ID. Riders 16 or 17 years of age must be accompanied by parent or guardian. No refunds for any member of your party if you do not meet these criteria.
Are there height and weight requirements to rent an electric bike?
We have several models of ebikes to accommodate most people from short to tall and everything in between. Weight limit is 300 lbs.
Do you provide helmets and locks?
Yes we do. We recommend that all riders wear a helmet. We urge all riders to lock each bike carefully when you are away from the bike and to take your helmet and other valuables with you. Helmets, locks, and self guided tour maps are free with each rental. Each ebike is equipped with a zippered storage bag on the handlebar to carry along your camera, keys, and other small items.
What should I wear? What should I bring?
We recommend riders not wear loose clothing that can get caught in the bike. We also do not recommend flip flops or high heels. It’s best to wear closed comfortable shoes or sneakers along with good sunglasses as the Florida sun can be strong. We also recommend sunblock lotion as well.
Are reservations required?
To guarantee availability of rental equipment we strongly suggest to make a reservation ahead of time. However, if you fail to honor your reservation, or do not cancel before the 24 hour cancellation period, you will be fully charged for your rental.
What is required to make a reservation?
You need a major credit card, email address and a cell phone number. You will not be charged for your rental at the time of the reservation. However, if you fail to honor your reservation, or do not cancel before the 24 hour cancellation period, you will be charged for the price of the rental.
What kind of deposit do I need to rent a bike?
A $300 authorization will be held at time of rental. A valid driver license or passport, along with a credit card is required at time of rental. Rates include delivery of bike to and from your location.
What is your cancellation policy?
To cancel your reservation, please call or email us 24 hours prior to the start of your rental time. However, if you fail to honor your reservation, or do not cancel before the 24 hour cancellation period, you will be charged for the price of the rental.
How fast do your electric bicycles go?
The maximum speed is 20mph with just the motor moving the ebike alone. You can get slightly faster with that by pedaling with the motor downhill with the wind at your back.
How far will an electric bike go on a single charge?
It depends on a number of factors including weather, rider weight and terrain. Most of our bikes can go up to 25 – 30 miles on a single charge. You may go slightly farther if you are pedaling with the electric motor assisting you. You may go less depending on the model. The typical ranges for each ebike we rent is posted on our website.
Do electric bikes require a license or registration?
Nope!! That is one of the beautiful things about ebikes! Federal law is legally treating electric bikes like standard bicycles, with all of the laws surrounding standard bicycles applying to them. To assist you with safety we provide you with the traffic laws for bicyclists from the Florida Department of Transportation.
What if it rains?
We are not recommending that our customers ride the electric bicycles in the rain as it just creates hazardous conditions, just as you would experience in a car – especially in Florida with our frequent intense downpours. We recommend to our customers to use extreme caution in inclement weather and to get to a dry place as quickly as possible if caught in a rainstorm. We offer an opportunity to reschedule your rental in the event of prolonged rain.
Do I need to know how to ride a bicycle?
Yes. As electric bicycles handle like regular bikes, previous bicycle-riding knowledge and experience is recommended.
What hotels do you deliver to?
We deliver our ebikes to hotels from Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach. It is the customer’s responsibility to be at the correct location and at the correct time as stated on their confirmation form.
What happens if the ebike’s battery runs out?
Ebikes2you provides each customer with a charging cord to recharge the batteries on the ebikes. Typical charging times to get a full battery are generally about 4 hours. Since we only rent daily and weekly you are free from the worry about having to bring the ebikes back by a certain time, etc. and can truly enjoy the experience of riding at your leisure all around town over the course of 24 hours. Additionally, the bikes we rent are excellent bikes in their own right and will allow you to safely and comfortably pedal to where you want to go if the battery runs out.
What happens if my electric bicycle is stolen from me while renting?
Each customer is provided locks with each ebike rental and you should lock up your ebike every time you stop at a location. We recommend that you lock the wheels to the frame to another immovable object such as a bike rack or sign if available. You should contact the Police Department immediately to file a police report and then immediately notify Ebikes2You at 1-561-826-4358 of the incident. Each of our ebikes are registered with the city police departments. You are responsible for the replacement cost of the ebike if lost or stolen as well as providing Ebikes2you with a copy of the police report within 5 days of the incident.
Do you offer guided tours?
Unfortunately we do not offer guided tours at this time although we are free at times to join you on a ride if you like! Just let us know and we’ll check our schedule to see if we can do it as we always enjoy riding with our customers! Ebikes2you does however provide self guided tour maps with each rental that allow you to customize your tour based on what you are in the mood to see that day and how far you want to go.

Do I have to pedal? Is there a throttle?
No you don’t have to pedal. We have a few models that provide pedal assist which help to “assist” you while you pedal making the effort less strenuous and more efficient. Yes there is a throttle on all of our ebikes and you can choose to not pedal and just “glide” as we like to call it.
What if there is a malfunction of the ebikes while I’m renting it?
Please contact us immediately via phone at 1-561-826-4358 if there are any issues at all with your rental. We pride ourselves on the quality of our ebikes and meticulously maintain each ebike according to the manufacturers specifications.
Do I have to sign a waiver?
Yes – all Ebikes2you customers must sign a liability waiver before participating. Customers that are under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian sign for them.
Do I have to wear a helmet?
It is our policy to require all customers to wear a helmet. One will be provided to you free of charge.
Can more than one person ride at a time?
No. These ebikes are designed as single person bicycles. We may at some point entertain tandem ebikes but don’t currently have plans to do so.
Do your ebikes have the ability to store bags, purses?
Yes and no. Every ebike Ebikes2you rents will have a small portable saddlebag for storing small items but it will depend on how big your purse and store bag is to understand if it will fit in there. Some models we rent will come with a basket for storing small bags but check with us before you rent for availability.
